Urgent Care at UChicago Medicine Dearborn Station

I had a great experience getting stitches with Dr. Sandy Gibson a few weeks ago. I cut my finger on broken glass, which left a long jagged gash around the top joint with a skin flap damn near hanging off, and I came in pretty nervous since I’ve never had stitches before and don’t do well with needles. She was super patient and walked me through everything, and her calm demeanor really helped me stay relaxed. She was also very careful and deliberate with the stitches, and thanks to that my wound has healed really nicely and you can barely see the scar--I was so sure my finger was gonna be permanently disfigured. Thanks again for making a tough experience so much more bearable and positive :)

My experience with this UOC URGENT CARE DEARBORN LOCATION was amazing!! I made an appointment through My Chart, I was seen within a few minutes, the intake person was amazing, the MA was exceptional, kind, knowledgeable & concern, she treated me like family, I was in pain, but she made me feel so much better, I wish I could remember her name. The Dr was amazing as well, very attentive & concerned about my illness, we went over my allergies to make sure she was prescribing me the right medication & she did, she put it in during my visit, I would choose UOC URGENT CARE DEARBORN LOCATION over & over again, I’m feeling better after a day…Thank you to the entire team who treated me yesterday!!!

Best healthcare experience ever! I was tended to immediately, saw the doctor after 10 minutes and had a prescription in another 5. I was visiting Chicago for the weekend and had an urgent medical issue that would have ruined my visit. Thanks to UC Urgent Care I was able to have a great weekend. Highly recommend this Urgent Care facility!!

These are the most incompetent people I have ever encountered in a medical setting. They decided not to run basic tests despite being perfectly capable of it and refused to acknowledge half of the symptoms I came in with. I saw the doctor (she introduced herself as Doctor Sì or C or see) for less than 5minutes total after which she told me they couldn’t help me and to go to the emergency room instead. When I asked about other symptoms which were not in any way addressed, I was told that I was either making it up or they were unable to help which I know isn’t true. For example, even though I came in complaining of hours of heart palpitations and my pulse was well above normal range when they measured my heart rate, the doctor chose not to run an EKG despite being perfectly able to at the cl

The WORST place ever & they do NOT care about anything. The receptionist at the front desk was very unhelpful and did not care to try and help at all. I brought in my sick 1 year old and i have been bringing him here since he was born. The lady tells me to have a seat and then proceeds to call us back up 30 minutes later to let me know they have been billing my insurance incorrectly and now its out of network. Im trying to ask questions to understand & she had a nasty attitude & barely wanted to speak. She then proceeds to tell me to go to a location that does accept my sons insurance. As soon as I arrive there and go inside they tell me they don’t except his insurance!! They need to get better staff that actually care about helping and providing correct information. I will never be back t
