Urgent Care at Sugar House Health Center

I have never visited an urgent care. I live in Denver, visiting family in Herriman when I experienced my health issue. When I arrived, Alicia quickly, checked me in, she is extremely pleasant, very professional and made me feel very at ease. I went back to the urgent care waiting area and was quickly greeted by Kelsi, again, made me feel very comfortable, took my vitals and explained what was about to happen. Next was Tawni, what a pro! Explained what they were going to do, what my expectations should be, recommended an injection and a prescription. Kelsi, then administered the injection and we were on our way with a prescription from your pharmacy. I have heard horror stories about visits to ER and urgent cares, my visit could not have been any more pleasant. Thank you for all you do and

I went in for stomach pain but was also definitely having a panic attack. The staff was so kind, calm, and attentive. The nurses worked together to quickly assess me and the doctor talked me through all of my symptoms without belittling the anxiety. I really really appreciate how gently and efficiently they handled a very scary and vulnerable moment for me.

I went to the Sugarhouse Clinic hoping for a better experience than I've had in the past at the Redwood Clinic. I wish the provider would have taken me more seriously when I told her that based on 50+ years of having asthma, that I knew I had bronchitis and was worried it was turning into pneumonia as it often does. I had audible inspiratory and expiratory wheezing. No stethoscope was needed to hear this wheezing. My entire chest, abdomen and pelvis were making gurgling noises. I could not take a full breath of air into my lungs because I was so congested. The nebulizer and solution she prescribed for me to inhale have done nothing. The Mucinex cough syrup is worthless. The only thing that has been marginally helpful has been the steroids. The thing that works best for me in these

Best experience ever. This will be my location for future urgent care. From the receptionist, to the medical assistant to the PA, all treated me with care and respect. And the onsite pharmacy? Had my meds ready within minutes. Simply amazing.

Nurse Janie Cagel was exceptionally kind, concerned, and thorough. She was a very compassionate individual who made certain I understood everything that was going on. I do not speak English and am from Thailand so this was especially meaningful to me.
