Be careful when you go to this place people try to scam on you the nursing asking me over the phone to make deposit When I put my deposit, she gave me appointment to come with my parrots after one week all what I was asking , exam test to know which one is female which one is male they told me for each parrots $110 when I get there they asked me $900. She had three exam. I don’t ask for it. She said I have to make this exam because that’s my first time I come to them place when I refuse to make the test to my parrot watch i don’t ask for it. The nursing told me I will lose the deposit so I have to claim support on my bank to get my deposit back.

Dr. Joy at Upstate Animal Hospital is truly exceptional. Her knowledge and expertise are matched only by her incredible compassion and genuine care for animals. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure both pets and their owners feel comfortable and supported. The entire team, from the techs to the front desk staff, are kind, patient, and understanding. You can tell they truly love what they do and that every animal who walks through their doors is treated like family. I’m so grateful for the outstanding care Dr. Joy and the staff provide. I couldn’t recommend Upstate Animal Hospital more highly!

I can’t say enough about how amazing this team is. Dr. Lucas is top notch and I can’t imagine putting my furbabies in anyone else’s care. We have been with her for years. We have also seen Dr. Tamas who has been outstanding. You can’t go wrong with either one. The love, care, and knowledge they provide are worth every penny. So thankful for this team!

I do recommend!! I love the vet, staff are very kind, scheduling is easy and services are relatively affordable. My only suggestion for improvement is that special care to make sure prey animals feel safe from other animals. For example, a dog barking and yelping behind the door made my bunny really scared and he had nowhere to "hide" to comfort himself. We unfortunately have not been able to see any exotics only doctors. This might mean using a rolled up carpet at the bottom of the door or a specified room, or special exotics only dates and times. If this were addressed I would rate 5 stars.

Thank you to Dr Lucas for her compassionate, diligent, and highly skilled services. I am so grateful for her as she has saved the lives of several of my chickens and is willing to work with my schedule since I live far from her. She is the only avian vet within an hour of me willing to give her all even to lowly chickens that suffer many health conditions due to being overbred.
