Customer Reviews
My mother recently went, had to stay on bed in hallway for 9 hrs before a room could be secured as hospital ER was very busy. A nurse named Michelle gave her excellent care as well as a PA named Ian Blizzard who was super thorough and attentive. Was so impressed by his knowledge and bedside manner and he is a Christian like us and prayed with her. Top notch care by these two!
I am here in the emergency room with my grandmother who is in afib. All the nurses are rude and have NO BED SIDE MANNERS. The radiology and er room are confused on what is going on and never came back to set up her monitors on her. We call for nurse and no one comes. I highly DO NOT recommend the er
I was checked in immediately. I waited maybe 7 minutes to be triaged. Then absolutely no more wait time. Went in with legs swollen from the knees to the toes. They were hard, hot and painful. Left in less than 4 hours feeling like I got the right treatment.
Let’s talk about UMMS Upper Chesapeake Hospital. Four days ago while at home, my 54 yr old husband started experiencing chest pain. I recognized the signs quickly and got him to the ER. From the moment we walked in the door and told front desk that he was having chest pains and I felt he was having a heart attack, they immediately stepped into action. Took his BP quickly and an EKG in record time. Equipped with the confirmation that he was indeed having an MI, the nurse and tech got him in the back ASAP. Where next a team of nurses, PA’s, and Doctors moved quickly to get my husband triaged with medications and prepped to go to the Cath lab. This all happened within less than 15 minutes! After administering Nitroglycerin and waiting to be taken to the OR, my husband went into cardiac arrest.
The absolute most disgusting place to be. Nurses have no idea what they’re doing. It takes them forever to do anything. One nurse literally would not help someone because that patients designated nurse was on break. The shared rooms is the size of a shoebox. It is completely unsafe for 2 patients to be in a room that size together. Don’t send your loved ones here
