UPMC Hamot

I was on 3 south after having surgery for a broken wrist recently. Colton,Ben,Jackie,Jayme and Cassie all helped take care of me. If I forgot anyone my apologies. I ‘m writing this to let the people who run this hospital know how lucky they are to have such professional, caring employees working for them! Thank you again for all your help. This hospital is lucky to have all of you ❤️

I have been here for more things than I like such as kid stuff, and surgeries, aftercare, and check ups. I just want to say that they take excellent care of you and make sure you leave feeling happy, and healthy. I could not have gotten through these last couple of years without the staff at UPMC. Thank you for being wonderful.

Everything was great from start to finish. The only thing I was truly disgusted by was my daughter’s pillow case. I noticed a spot on it so I went to flip it over and the other side was even worse. I said something to the nurse she asked if I wanted a new one for her. I told her yes. My daughter came out of her procedure and still had the same nasty looking pillow case.

I live out of state but went to er for abdominal pain, was triaged in er and within an hour i was back in er in a room, testing was done, staff was professional and doctors kept me updated. I was admitted and was in surgery the next day. I have no complaints for the care i received, i would def return here again should i have issues in the future.

What can I say about UPMC Hamot? Foremost I’ve gotten better care here that at St. Vincent’s. The nurses and aids are great at their job and very accommodating. Sometimes s things get hectic and there’s a bit of a wait. Other times they simple cannot act out of their sphere to meet your needs. Most of the docs are great. Though many-likely due to the narcotic crisis- air on the side of caution. Even when that means the patient suffers a little. Sometimes it’s the condition the patient has that limits meds available. The food is pretty good. Meeting a wide variety of tastes. Sometimes transport from test or procedure takes a little longer than one would like. They are thorough in their work. Just make sure you use your voice and tell them what you need. Do not be afraid to say no eithe
