UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh - Perfusion Services

If I could rate this negative stars, I would. I had been sitting in the children’s emergency room for 130 minutes after being with the triage nurse. Now, the timed wait provided is 80-90 minutes. I have been vomiting, dehydrated, with various other symptoms visible to every person sitting here with me. They want to rule out appendicitis, but have not even let me see a doctor. Not only the horribly long wait time, they have music and games playing extremely loud that are making my migraine worse. Besides the actual care services provided, I have watched the “security guards” allow people in to the waiting room who set the metal detector off. They did not wave them or search them, providing a potentially dangerous, life threatening situation for sick people. They did not search bags, contai

The Children Hospital is a good place.. But for ppl that live in Union City is really hard to get there b/c you guys cant call a head of time... and i dont mean calling the night before.. my son has to have teeth work next tuesday and you guys have to wait till the last min. to call.. that is not right..

The service is fantastic. All the staff have blossomed when making Haley my granddaughter not to be scared, and helping her is priority one..
