The facility and staff at the UF Small Animal Hospital go above and beyond in the care of pets. The hospital is ranked #5 nationally. We had many good, skilled people who worked to diagnose and resolve a bladder blockage in our cat, Kong the Magnificent, aged 6. We went to the ER three times within two weeks as once a cat has a bladder blockage, it is more likely to reoccur. At the advice of student medical staff Isabella, we are switching Kong's food from dry to a wet formula especially made by Purina for urinary care and only available by prescription. The check-in at the ER is well staffed. Be advised that payment is up front based on a general estimate for the diagnosis. Kong was admitted overnight twice for several days so costs add up quickly. Fortunately we have pet insurance but it
Probably going to be a long review.. From the time that we got there til We picked her up the following day. Everybody involved was so kind, so considerate and so compassionate. We had taken Abby to a vet because something was wrong with her eye. They started us on drops 4 days later. It was worse. Took her to a different vet And they recommended coming here. When we arrived We were greeted And taken care of in a timely manner. Such a beautiful place Very clean we Had a great feeling immediately. They took Abby back to see exactly what was wrong sadly, when they came back The doctor informed us because the first vet had not given us antibiotics and an infection had eaten a hole in Abby's eye. She did a great job at explaining everything to us in detail giving us three different options, Th
We had an ok experience. The Dr and staff were all very nice. They spent time with us to explain and gave us options regarding our fur baby. I want to say they did what they could but somehow in my heart I feel like there could have been more. It shouldn't come to a money issue in saving a life in a TEACHING hospital. I do believe UF does good for pets in general but far to many don't get that chance because the owners can't afford it. Hopefully one day that will change. Thanks to UF for what they did in attempting to help our fur baby...may he rest easy and in peace.
We bring in our Boston Terrier Puppies for BAER and CAER testing. The staff is courteous, professional and treat out puppies wonderfully. Always a pleasure to deal with.
This is an amazing place. Great for pets and parents alike. They care about you and your pet like no other pet hospital. If you need care for your pet, emergency or routine, make the trio to this hospital. I could not recommend this place more.
