This is for the emergency room. My fiance drove herself there around 8 am. It is currently 10 pm. They told her she needs to be admitted. Still, at 10 pm, in the emergency room. In a chair, not a bed hasn't eaten. Unfortunately I live a state away. So I called and asked for the emergency room director. Someone answered. "Told me hold on " Then left me on hold another 30 minutes. Please. NEVER send your loved ones here!.

I was discharged from Sunrise after a week there, but the pain on my left stomach was still bothering me. They check my brain n my heart, never looked at where I told them the pain was. My insurance got charge $160000, n my copay $4000. After a couple of months the pain came back, this time more acute. I went to a UMC urgent care who gave me antibiotic for 10 days. I was miserable during those 10 days, couldn't eat n constantly in pain. I went back to the urgent care after 10 days n they referred me to their hospital. At the ER I waited for awhile cause there were so many patients. But what happened next was a miracle. The doctors looked at my stomach, scanned it n voila! They found the culprit. I received excellent patient care from Dr. Gururaj, Dr. Cooper, Kevin RN in cath lab, cath lab staff, Pre-op RN Jocelyn and PACU RN Kimberly. Very grateful to these procifient staff who helped make my heart ablation experience a success.

I don't know what has changed in morale or overall morals but UMC nurse and doctor staff of the ICU and ER are wonderful!! I have never seen such amazing care. Sophia is a champaign in what she does in the ER. The entire staff have been accommodating, kind, understanding, and they listen. Not just to my dad, but to me too. I am so impressed and have never seen this level of care at this hospital before. Thank you for the improvements and thank you for all you have done to save my dad's life.

The phone systems at this hospital are a danger to patient safety. I have been trying for days to reach the Patient Experience department, only to be met with a recording stating 'no representatives are available.' Worse, the Eligibility/Financial Counseling line is stuck in a programming loop where choosing a menu option simply restarts the recording. I am trying to resolve a medically urgent matter , and this technical negligence is preventing life-saving care. Do not reply with 'please call our team'—I AM CALLING, and your lines are broken. UMC needs to fix this immediately as it is a direct barrier to patient access and a violation of basic communication standards."
