UnityPoint Health - Des Moines

Took 3 payments out of my checking account Dec 27th and should have only been one, says on mychart they are being refunded but yet 20 days later no one can tell me where the 2 refunds are. I have no issues with Doctors or the actual facility just no one seems to know how to trace funds that they refunded. Very annoying that I have spoke to 3 people in billing and they checked with accounting (they say) and have gotten 3 different answers, except where is the money.. They have great Doctors in specialized fields but someone needs to take charge in accounting cause either they don't know what they are researching or they just do not care! Update, i finally got my refunds they even called to update me a week after I posted. Like I said, doctors and staff are great!

I would not recommend UintyPoint Health/ Methodist to any one. What should have taken maybe two hours at the most in the emergency room, took six hours. They billed me for things they never even did. Then the billing department is a complete joke. You can't get a hold of the financial coordinator at all. Left tons of message, but she will not call you back. Seems intentional. Methodist use to be a good hospital, but that has changed drastically. I will be going elsewhere if I need medical services.

Came in at 2am. Its 10am. Still not seen. The did ekg and covid test at 2am but said for me ro see results i need to use there app. There app wont lwt me see it cause i need a code from the doctor after he sees me. So i cant use the app. Im having breathing issues and they are just having me sit here struggleing to breath.

This hospital has the ultimate worst employees working at a hospital I have ever seen. The icu nurses are the rudest ladies I have ever dealt with these ladies should not be allowed to care for anyone At all ever. They need their license revoked. Front desk employee named John shouldn’t be working with the public he won’t help you and is very rude!! I would not recommend this hospital to anyone and these employees should not be allowed to work with the public!!!

If I could give less than zero I would. I have been in the waiting room in excrutiating pain for four hours and counting at the e.r.. no updates on time, they say they cant even gesstimate. I will never come back
