UnityPoint Clinic - Express (Waverly)

Used this service on a Saturday, wait time was short, nurse was wonderful and Dr. Scott answered my questions and was very helpful.

The hours here are incorrect. I had my 18 month old infant in at 7:30 PM who was miserable with an ear infection. The doctor wouldn’t see us because it was too close to 8 PM. There were ZERO patients waiting. So basically, they should change their hours to close at 7 PM since they are not taking patients. I am disappointed because we have had good experiences here previously, but I wouldn't recommend going in the evening as you won't receive care.

I took my daughter in for an ear infection. We made an online reservation so it was super fast (they said there were several walk-in patients there but we got moved to the top of the list due to our reservation). We didn’t have to check in at the front desk but went right back to the exam room for the check in process. The whole appointment took less than 30 minutes. Very nice facility and the nurse and doctor were extremely friendly. Would highly recommend!

We are in town from Arizona for my son's basketball camp at Wartburg College. Check in was the following day, and he started complaining that his ear hurt. After 7pm at night, we were driving to urgent care after the tornado warnings passed. Walked in, check in gal was amazing, got us all checked in within 5 minutes. Waiting for us was the triage nurse, who got us right back and immediately started asking questions. As soon as she heard that he has extensive history with that ear and had gone through 3 surgeries on it, she went out to get the PA Scott. He came right in, took one look, and confirmed that it was infected. With only 10 minutes before the pharmacy closed for the night, they were on the phone with them to get his prescription called in, telling them we were on the way.

The nurses are nice. Waiting 20 minutes or longer for the dr. To come in is ridiculous. I understand if they are busy but just us another person is ridiculous I think
