UnityPoint Clinic Express (Fort Dodge)

We are from Missouri and were visiting family east of Ft Dodge, and I needed to get some relief for a sinus infection on a Sunday morning. After reading the other reviews here I considered driving twice as far and going to Mason City, so I'm glad I didn't do that. The young lady who was subbing at the front desk was very friendly and efficient, the nurse was friendly, empathetic, and thorough. (I'm sorry my awful social skills caused me to forget both their names!) The provider, a PA named Bailey, I believe, was patient as I explained my health background and recent medical work so that she could make an informed diagnosis, since they didn't have access to my records. Would not recommend using provider Bailey or nurse Amber if it’s something that could potentially be something as simple as a certain antibiotic not doing the job. My son has had reoccurring ear infections his whole life. His surgery is scheduled for a week out, she diagnosed him with an ear infection a week ago, sent in amoxicillin that doesn’t ever work with reoccurring ear infections, most providers know that if you use the same antibiotic several times, it does nothing. Called to have a different antibiotic sent in, nope they’re refusing until he’s seen again. Any other time they’d send in another prescription to take care of it. I’m not risking my son getting sick a week before his surgery date with all the sickness going around. So instead of treating a child the correct way with som

I needed a doctor's note for my employer following a personal vehicle accident. I was seen and only requested the note and that what I had done for a week already was the correct thing to do. They gave me neosporin and bandaids, charged me almost 400 dollars, and sent it to collections in 3 months. Would not recommend. Drive to Webster City.

Very dismissive of my symptoms. Told them I know my body and I know when I have an infection. Did not listen to me and wasted my time. The nurse also messed up my strep test and had to do it again. Would not go again!

What a wonderful experience! I cannot recommend this clinic high enough! My first thought when I walked in was how clean and welcoming the environment was. And then I was greeted by a very friendly staff member and quickly got through the initial questioning and check in process. The wait time online was accurate (actually waited less then what it predicted). The nursing staff and PA were all very professional and friendly. I was able to check in, be seen and get the medicine I needed all within one hour. Best medical visit I have ever had! Highly recommend if you have any minor sicknesses or concerns.
