Unitek College Sacramento Campus

Went here for my VN and it wasn't a bad experience, but they were definitely unorganized. I'm now going to their Reno campus for my BSN and it is so much worse. It really does seem like they are just about the money. When I was first enrolling to the BSN program, financial aid was all over me, calling me every day to make sure I have it set up and everything. Then when the second academic year came around, I had to be the one reaching out every week to see how much I would be needing to take out for my loan. First week of classes come around and I didn't hear from them until that weekend... Come to find out they can already take out the loan themselves, that's why they didn't bother. This school cares very deeply about your learning and has a wonderful team who work hard to ensure that you are receiving the support we need. The classrooms are very clean and well maintained, the book we received has everything we need to prepare us for real clinical work, instructors are knowledgeable and strive to ensure that we leave prepared and ready for real clinic setting.

So I called Unitek because I was interested in getting information about LVN/RN programs they offer and they were quick to invite me in for a tour and to go over tuition. So I went, but they don’t have financial aid at the campus which I thought was interesting… but I still kept my interest because I’ve been really interested in career development. I waited in an office because financial aid was supposed to call me. I waited about 10-15 minutes and never got a call so I asked to schedule an appointment with financial aid as I had to get going. I had scheduled an appointment 06/16… financial aid never called. I had a great experience at Unitek College – Sacramento campus in the Medical Assistant program. The instructors were very friendly and supportive, and the hands-on training helped me build confidence in real-world skills. I also appreciated the opportunity to complete an externship, which gave me practical experience before graduating.
