UNC Urgent Care at Clayton

I recently went to this urgent care and I'm not going to lie, I was scared due to the reviews. I walked in and the front desk receptionist greeted me with a smile. I checked in and she let me know that I had scheduled my appointment with the UNC Urgent care on 40/42. She said, "No problem, I can fix that for you". I thanked her profusely because I wanted to be seen. I loved that they had a "feeling sick" and "not feeling sick" section for seating so that one could know where to sit. The nurse was sweet. The PA was knowledgeable and helped me! I'm grateful for their service and I think they did a wonderful job seeing me when I needed it!

My experience with UNC Clayton urgent care was nothing short of a great experience. I went in on a Sunday at 5pm for an eye issue. They took me right in and were able to see me right away. The two people that were in there before the doctor were so welcoming and nice, they certainly made a great team. The PA came right in just minutes later and made my whole experience great. Darren Kirk is a great PA and listened to my issues and explained things very well. My eye is now healing nicely and I’m very happy with my experience!

Every time that I or any of my family members have had to visit UNC Urgent care we have always felt cared for and heard. Today I walked in and realized I had made the appointment at another location. I panicked because life is crazy and my kid is sick. Amanda at the front desk was amazing she was calm and helpful and got us right in. Thank you all for being wonderful!

Im only giving it two stars because I was able to be seen and didn’t wait. But that’s where it stops. The care provider acted professional and the visit was pleasant enough, but I knew something was up in the competence department when he was asking if he could use AI to diagnose me while I was shivering and shaking with a raging sinus infection in the patient room. Ummm excuse me, but AI is an intelligent being that has not took a Hippocratic oath that I know of, nor is it capable of doing so. I said emphatically, no. Do not use AI. I don’t want a public record of my healthcare floating around the consciousness of the internet that I didn’t put out there myself. He then proceeded to lecture me about my blood pressure and then misdiagnosed me with a viral infection even though I have a

I hesitated to go here on a Sunday considering the reviews, but so glad I did! I reserved a spot online, went early, and was called back right away. The front desk, rad tech and Dr Rich(?) were ALL super kind, thorough, and had me in and out within an hour.
