UNC Health Urgent Care at Southeastern Health Mall

My husband was seen at this urgent care, Im the one insisted he go to this exact one because I have been many times and always had a great and caring provider. My husband came in he's been having pain for a week with a dental problem he was seen at the ER and also attempted to see a dentist. His dentist cannot see him for another two weeks. He was denied care because "there's nothing they can do" which is what the provider stated. I went into the back to talk with the provider. She still says there's nothing she can do for him. He has inflammation in his gum from the tooth and I was explaining that I thought he needed a better medicine for inflammation. she stated they do not do that for dental problems. The front desk lady Mallory is disgustingly rude over the phone and in person, when i told the other MOA that Mallory was being rude over the phone, she tried to act like I was lying and saying she was listening to the conversation the whole time, i called multiple times because my medication was sent to the wrong place, after explaining to Mallory over the phone my frustration of not being able to pick up my medication after 2hrs of waiting and running around she stated “that’s not my problem” I asked if she can transfer me to my doctor, she put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back to the phone and proceeded to refuse to transfer me to my doctor because “she did her job already”. If this is a walk in clinic they should be able to see you. Supposedly it's by appointment, so the front desk said. Any how update your website to appointments only. 🤨

Had an appointment for 4:30 for severe vomiting. I got sick in the parking lot as soon as I arrived, I walked in after at 4:34. The lady at the front desk says I'm late and they couldn't see me, I let her know I was on time but got sick and that made me late. She proceeds to call the doctor and asks if she'll see me but didn't let her know why I was late and sent me out the door. Mind you, I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant and I can't keep anything down including water. I've lost almost 10 pounds in a week. This "new policy " is stupid. The staff isn't very professional at all. Especially since everytime I go there all they do is laugh and giggle and talk about patients not knowing we can hear it all.

Quality of care and Professionalism goes straight out the window with this provider. You call and get placed on hold immediately from the receptionist, then when someone comes back to the line you're informed you will be transferred and end up being transferred to "Patient Accounts" when the matter concerning is not even a billing issue since you've never even been seen there. What is going on? This Urgent Care needs serious investigation with just simply looking at the reviews alone. In addition, to have the automated system tell you that "hanging up and re dialing will delay your call" is so disheartening and not encouraging to an individual looking to receive care.
