UMC Lions Burn Care Center

I had a long stay at UMC. I had some of the worst care that I have witnessed, which helped me appreciate the better staff members. I was very scared to get wound care since it was extremely painful, but ever day, the wound care team were very nice and professional. There would joke with me, and it felt like they were my friends. This helped makes my stay better. I made it a goal to bring attention to the staff that stood out. The staff that made my day brighter. The wound care staff did just that. I appreciate all their hard work. Thanks to their card work, my wounds have healed up nicely with less scaring than I anticipated. I do appreciate their hard work, and dedication.

Words can’t even express the compassion and professionalism I endured while dealing with a very traumatic situation. All of the nurses were kind but I can only remember the names Stacey and Marrisa. Please continue to provide your patients with respect and support as being a burn victim is horrific and the time spent at the burn center is the most vulnerable. Thank you all for caring for me, Shalunda.

Staff members were extremely helpful and supportive in my process of recovery. They explained my situation very clearly and efficiently making sure I was aware of my condition. During my stay I only had one complaint about a dressing change and explained it to the CNA on the floor at the time. Who reassured me that they would make sure it wouldn’t happen again. They handled everything in a timely matter and responded with professionalism. Definitely a “Patient Oriented Facility”, and I’m grateful to be in solid experienced hands.

I want to thanks UMC Lions Burn Care Center, Dr. Syed Saquib and my son nurse Mrs. Stacey and everyone they was so kind, amazing and supportive. Jose still getting support and 2025 his going to his first camp. Thank Mrs. Megan for all you support. UMC Lions Burn Care Center you guys are the best 🙏♥️

The staff are caring, understanding, patient, careful, and well trained. The only real complaint I have is with meals. The food is really tasty and very punctual in delivery. However if you are here over a week look forward to the same meal as was last week. Basically the breakfasts are the same everyday.
