UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care my father received during his two weeks at UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital. After his stroke, he arrived needing significant help, but the therapy team worked with him every day with skill, patience, and encouragement. We saw meaningful improvement during his time there, and it gave our family hope and confidence as he prepared to return home. The therapists were outstanding. They challenged him, encouraged him, and truly cared about his progress. Each one took the time to explain what they were working on and why, which helped our family understand the recovery process. Would recommend going to this rehab facility from 500 miles (or more) away! The nurses and PT Staff go above and beyond! Your average physical therapy in patient facility wont give you anything close to what UF Health offers , the Physical Therapists Work very hard to help get you to meet your goals. They have good food , own room, amazing staff including the doctors(they come daily even weekends). You'll get 3 hours of PT week days (an ave PT facility probably get an hour or so) and the weekends get a little break with a few 45 min PT sessions. Anyways I'd VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!! If you want the best UF is the place, they're in the top 10 countrywide 3 years straight (ive been told) Don't cut yourself short if you need PT UF Health is my only choice!

Therapy helped me tremendously! I went from high flow oxygen to walking without oxygen!! All the therapists were very knowledgeable. I never repeated an exercise, it made it more interesting and challenging! Nurses and doctors here are wonderful. The food was top notch!

TLDR: "Good facility overall, but not ideal for Parkinson's patients." This is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly and helpful staff. My family member appreciated the therapy sessions and liked the therapists. The rooms were fine. However, despite assurances that staff understood Parkinson's care, the reality didn't match. Medications weren't given at the precise times necessary for Parkinson's management, which contributed to confusion and delusions. Outside of therapy sessions, the patient wasn't allowed to walk and get additional movement, which is particularly important for most Parkinson's patients. Safety concerns were cited, but even at the hospital staff would walk with her around the halls. Not at rehab - she was confined to the bed or belted into a wheelchair. Some CN

I want to I'm so blessed to have a wonderful staff off Nurses and Doctors and therapists have come to give the best treatment of my care here they're so caring and very attentive to your concerns I'm very grateful for being here wouldn't be any other place.
