Had stress test scheduled at UF Health on 10/17. Arrived late. Wasn't directed to Cardiac Center until after I arrived. Quite a trek. They transported me to the right location, only for me to be told that I wasn't supposed to have any caffeine 12 hours before and any food 4 hours before. No one told me at dr. visit or communicated this pertinent information in any way. Test was canceled and was rescheduled for this Friday and now I know where more convenient parking is. Will be early this time for sure.

I have never felt so humiliated in my entire life as to when I went to go see the cardiologist in the ACC Shands building. I had previously made sure that they were aware that I had a severely autistic son who’s homeschooled that I had no choice to bring. I spent an hour driving there And not only were they in polite about it. The lady could clearly see that I had tears in my eyes I kept dropping my cane, trying to hold onto stuff and they told me to get out with my son because no kids are allowed because if something happens there’s nobody to take the child? I stated I had two people ten minutes away that could pick him up and that their reason made little sense when I wasn’t having tests today meanwhile I’m walking around with brach episodes after a high potassium of 8 a year ago. Whethe

Probably the worst experience I've ever had. I showed up early for my appointment that was made 2 months in ADVANCE. When I was checking in for my appointment the lady said I need a referral from my PCP in order to see the doctor or I can self pay for today. I told her my insurance allows me to see any specialist without a referral, as long as they are an in network provider, which the doctor was... She basically responded with I don't know why ?????? How can you not know the reasoning and this is your job. I've been to many specialists before without ever getting a referral from my PCP. A simple google search will reveal that I indeed do not need a referral to see a specialist LOL!! Another main issue I had was why did the appointment lady on the phone not tell me I would need a referral?

Arrived for appointment, checked in, went back to the room where an EKG was performed. A few minutes later the medical assistant returned to say the APRN was not coming in and we would have to reschedule. Worst experience with a medical facility in my life. No one could explain why in a huge cardiac center another doctor couldn’t step in and read the EKG and finish the appointment. The schedule APRN did not even let the office know she was sick until they called her to let her know her patient was there and ready to be seen.

I was told by my cardiologist that I needed to have a heart cath done and that I probably would be called the next week. After no call for two weeks I tried calling them to schedule the procedure and was told that Lack of insurance approval was the reason nobody had called me this turned out to be a lie as I then called my insurance company and they said no approval paperwork has been submitted. The insurance rep and me then did a three way call to UF cardiology and they had no clue and told me to call back on Friday. I instead called UG health on Monday and a lady named Kita refused yo give me the phone number to the person resonsible for the scheduling. It's now going on 4 weeks and no call what a joke this place is.
