UCSF Mission Bay Hospitals

The absolute best place for cancer care, particularly rare cancers. I am alive because of UCSF and continue to receive excellent follow up care.

This hospital is great, but the software (mychart) is horrific. Trying to figure out when and where you need to be is impossible and the phone menu is a labarinth. I spent an hour trying to figure out where I needed to be. They need to fire their software providers and start over.

UCSF used to be my go-to hospital. But it’s been soooo bad lately. Can’t even make appointments. I call and get fwded to voice mail. Been trying to schedule a spine injection for 2 months.

Have been trying to locate a patient named Nolan Grayson, he was brought in as an emergency. He has no insurance. Once they found that out stopped feeding him and giving him medication for High Blood Pressure. Cannot reach the billing department. This sounds illegal and inhumane. They should have thrown him out or called the police to arrest him.

This is the most horrible healthcare experience I’ve had in my life. The billing is a nightmare. The doctors office is completely separate from billing. I called to get a no-insurance appoint quote and was told $290 for a 15 minute appointment. I agreed, showed up and paid upfront. I asked for an itemized bill at the appointment, they said call billing tomorrow. I called, voicemail and no returned call. I tried several more times unsuccessfully. Finally I felt that it was over with. 5 weeks later I get a bill that they want another $97 with no explanation at all. I call, they tell me they can’t do anything so email. I email, it takes 3 days for each response. They tell me I just need to pay, never a reason given. I called the doctors office, always voicemail and they never retu
