UCSF Dermatology Clinic at Mount Zion

I was not informed of any delays. We left my child's school and left my own work early to arrive on time at 3:45 pm and then waited for 65 minutes to be seen. The doctor said that at the end of the day that can happen without much understanding of the impact on the patient. There is a sign on the wall that says "if you've been waiting more than 30 minutes let's us know" so this indicates it's a common enough occurrence to have created this permanent plaque. I've never waited this long at UCSF. It would have been helpful to have contact in advance of the appointment to avoid rushing to arrive on time if they knew in advance how behind the doctor was in her schedule for the day. The actual appointment was great, felt listened to thorough, likely what led to the accumulated delay by the time

Amazing experience at this clinic. I got checked in right when I walked in. A medical assistant greeted me and took me to the exam room after 2 minutes. Dr. Neuhaus was very kind and patient. Overall amazing, friendly staff and clean facility.

A horrible experience with dr. Fozouni. I saw her for 15 minutes. Somehow this resulted in a bill of well over 1000$. This is theft. I never agreed to any treatment that wasn't preventative so it should be covered by insurance. I called to discuss and she has not called back and it has been a month. This is the least humane treatment that I have seen out of any service that I contract in the city. My mechanic is much more trustworthy than this doctor.

Unfortunately there is no way to reach a human if you are a new patient trying to make an appointment. Once you think you’re about to get through to someone, the line hangs up. And there’s no way to make an appointment other than calling. If you are overbooked with patients, just say that in your phone system. This is unacceptable for a medical practice. I will gladly remove my review if this is fixed.

I had to wait for an hour to be seen. They should’ve told me how late they were running before I showed up so I could’ve come later. Huge disruption to my workday. And no one came in to update me. I had to go out into the hallway, half-naked in my flimsy gown, to ask for updates. The dermatologist seemed fine but like she was extremely rushed. They need to fix their scheduling.
