Kaitlin Erickson, APRN is a judgmental, dismissive individual with an obvious stigma against mental health issues. I came to UConn Dermatology desperate for help with devastating hair loss issues and she was rude, condescending, and dismissive. She told me that my hair growing back looked healthy, my scalp was healthy, and said I didn’t even have a flake of dandruff on my scalp! What LIES! She pretty much told me to get Rogaine and kick rocks! Well later on I look at her notes in my chart and she put she questions Trichotillomania versus me actually having a problem! WHAT?! I was so angry! She’s suggesting basically I did this to my hair myself versus a medical condition! We never discussed that diagnosis, she is an AWFUL “health care provider!” My conclusion is that you don’t want a docu

I had a really positive appointment at the Southington dermatology office. I went for a body scan to check some moles and such. The dr checked every inch of me. Even my scalp! She was kind and personable. She listened to my concerns about age lines and gave me a prescription for a cream without objections. She told me i can call anytime if I have a spot im concerned about. I have no insurance. I paid out of pocket. It was less than $150.

Had a laser procedure to remove a tiny surface vein. I paid privately. I was grossly overcharged for a 2-minute procedure that was about 50% effective. I suppose anything associated with a hospital for a tiny cosmetic procedure would be 4x more expensive just because of the hospital rate structure. The office kept changing my appointment date/time as well. Like I didn’t matter and I can just come in at the drop of a hat anytime. Before and after pictures were taken in completely different lighting. I went in for a follow-up visit which was completely a waste of my time. Btw they tried to change the appointment time at the last minute yet again. I explained that the procedure didn’t really work, which the doctor disregarded and then at the same time told me she was retiring and moving out

Had a very bad rash. Come out to be I have autoimmune disease. Giving myself a shot every 2 weeks. I'm a lot better. Have only positive things to say about this place

I waited 9 months for an appointment only for it to be cancelled two weeks before. I then called to reschedule and they said it would be another 5 months to get another appointment. Waiting over a year to see a dermatologist is absolutely ridiculous.
