UCLA Health Manhattan Beach Primary Care

I want to RAVE about UCLA; we have been with them for 20+years. We saw Dr. Ghafouri until my kids were 21, my husband sees Lucie P. Brining, MD who is warm, intelligent and very caring as she was my first doctor at UCLA. I see Dr. Jason Sherman who, and I know this sounds corny, legit saved me this summer. I was having significant health issues. Dr. Sherman didn't give up on me and ensured I had the proper care to overcome my health issue. I have NEVER felt rushed or ignored at UCLA. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Dr. Sherman, who always gets back to me quickly with any concerns. I am in such a great place right now, in no small part to Dr. Brining and Sherman and I am so thankful for UCLA.

There are not enough kind things I can say about UCLA. I never liked going to the Doctor before I became a patient here; it was always something! Then, I would leave and get this huge bill for no reason, so I just wouldn't go. Now, I go probably too frequently. UCLA makes it as easy as possible, which is how it should be if you are going to see a Doctor. I love Dr. Jason Sherman, he is so kind, patient, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor, so visits are fun! Lydia his nurse is my main lady, I love and adore her. This dynamic duo is simply the best! If you can't get in with Dr. Sherman, Dr. Brining is also fantastic! If you are in need of a new Doctor it is without hesitation that I would recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Sherman. Good luck! :)

Good in every way. Easy parking, polite staff, clean & comfortable environment, high quality medical care.

I never had a problem with a Dr here and the fact that they took blood for labs during a visit was convenient but their prices are outrageous if you aren't using some insurance that caps your bill. I paid over $500 (after $300 reduction for insurance) for a visit just to get my simple Rx approved. Same kind of appointment right down the road cost me less than $150. I'm no longer a patient.

Beware of every single thing that you ask in your appt, because they can out of no where bill you for a “non-preventative” office visit, I was charged 190$ for asking for a script for a skin condition I have. There was 0 mention that I would be charged for asking a simple question and granted the script (that I still had to pay out of pocket for) and had to make multiple phone calls to my insurance and their billing department to even just remotely find out what cause this fee. Still cant find a single doctor in the Bay Area that doesn’t trick me with a hidden fee somewhere.
