If you have TRICARE PRIME, do not go here. They will bill you as if you didn’t have a referral. They will order tests and not have an authorization from TRICARE, lie and say they have one, and then slap you with the bill. They said it’s not their responsibility to send an authorization for things they order, which completely defeats the purpose of having insurance if they don’t process things correctly. So if you want to be seen here, be prepared to pay a nice bill, despite you having prime and a referral to be seen. Also tried to dispute it with UChealth and they pretty much said oh well, you gotta pay. Doesn’t matter if they lied. This is crazy. YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BILLED COST SHARES WITH TRICARE PRIME. If you are experiencing chronic gout or anything Rheumatology related then you should see Dr. Magar. She got me on an infusion treatment called Kystexxa (for gout treatment) and within 2 months my shoe size decreased, my hands, and basically all of my joints decreased. Dr. Roka-Magar's picture should be the image shown on Medical Journals about what a great doctor does to insure that their patients are heard and their medical needs are appropriately addressed. She's efficient, but polite - meaning that she does not rush you, but she listens carefully, and provides immediate feedback. If she is not sure of something, she researches it and gets back to you promptly. I have recommended her to many of my friends and acquaintances. If there's a Medical Provider of the Year Award, she's at the top of the list.

I just attempted to call and change to a new Rheumatologist. I explained to the receptionist my situation that I am currently a UCHealth patient but are currently being seen by the Arthritis Associates. I was calling because I would like to switch doctors. Immediately she stated that no doctor would see me as I was a patient at the Arthritis Associates. When asked her to explain why she said that it was considered a second opinion. I told her I was not looking for a second opinion, but rather to switch doctors entirely. If it was a matter of referral from my primary care, she could’ve just simply told me and I would’ve complied. But instead, she became aggressive and continued to tell me that if a referral was sent over they would deny me. I asked for her name so I could possibly speak t
