UCHealth Emergency Care - Broomfield Hospital (Hospital based)

I came in with a knee injury and was seen quickly, the doctor was great. However the nurse that fitted me for my brace and crutches gave me a brace the incorrect size, i had to come back because it did not fit right and he didn't even put it on the correct way which is also part of why it was so uncomfortable. When I came in the 2nd time the nurse that helped me pointed out that it was on backwards, and I mentioned that the previous nurse put it on that way and they were appalled.

I don't know having to go through security when you're just there to get yourself feeling better is a little unsettling. I'm about sure the doctor there thought I was just there looking for drugs. Like pain pills. Once my CT scans came back that all changed! But they were unable to treat me. They sent me by ambulance down to Highlands ranch hospital. I just feel like they were more concerned about why I came in rather than about carrying for why I was there. Like what changed tonight that made you come in?

I’m sure some days they’re busier, but when I went, they took me right into a room. They were quick, attentive, and professional. Because my condition wasn’t very serious and I basically just needed some IV medicine, I was in and out within a few hours. Although it felt like forever because I was in pain, the doctor only took 10-15 minutes to come see me. All the staff was caring and kind, and all of them told me they hoped I feel better, including the triage nurses and security guard :-) good people, good hospital. Hopefully I won’t need to go again any time soon, but if I do, it will be this location.

Very good patient care. Very responsive to the urgent need at hand. Pain was treated as good as could be expected while needing to rule things out. The nurses and PA’s were very good. The doctor worked through the NP’s as expected. Good communication. Very professional. Took care of business and explained things well to the patient and would ask if any questions. Test were performed in a very timely manner to rule things out. Would definitely recommend this hospital for anyone needing expert care in a highly delicate situation. From the front door to the end at discharge door, everything was done as it should be. Very happy experience. I am also an out of state visitor at this time when my event happened and being a retired nurse, I can say they gave the best care possible!

This is by far the worst experience of my entire 45 years of life . Talk about rude, uncomfortable, unwelcoming, judgemental, unprofessional, and inappropriate group of people I have ever been in contact with. Violations all over the board in my situation. From the men of Broomfield county police department that were on duty during my issue to half the staff at the Broomfield hospital. The doctor was dishonest and had no idea what he was talking about. The nurse was so shocked , and probably just as uncomfortable as I was that day she acted like everything was just great and showed no desire to help me. There is no excuse for how those male officer's acted with me , while the doctor pretty much forced me to do things against my will and never even gave me a chance. He was very demanding an
