UCF Lake Nona Hospital

I drop off my patient at the ER door and park the car, and quickly walk in. By the time I walk in, my patient was not in the waiting room, and the lady at the front check in desk barks at me to show her my ID very abruptly. I had to ask her to repeat herself as I was not even completely arrived at her desk before she demanded me to show her my ID. I asked her to repeat herself and she proceeds to have an attitude with me, rolls her eyes, then very condescendingly repeats her instructions slowly to show her my ID so she can print out a visitor’s badge. I then asked her if a patient had walked in already, as I will not need to show her my ID and she won’t need to print out a visitors badge if my patient had not walked into the back yet. Our experience at UCF Lake Nona was truly incredible. Hilary, Miranda, Dorothea, Lenora, Monique, Dara, Lillian, Jessica, Brittney, Cathy, Amber, Julia (and I know I’m forgetting some) were all so kind and attentive. There are more lovely, caring nurses there than I can even count, including the lactation team. We felt so supported the entire time. Amy Lamb, RN IBCLC, was such a gift to us. She is unbelievably patient and just so gentle in the way she shows up. I never once felt rushed, dismissed, or judged. She takes her time and makes sure you actually understand what you’re doing and why, which meant so much when everything felt new and overwhelming. I must say my experience with UCF Lake Nona from arriving to discharge was exceptional. The nurse staff and doctors were amazing and made me feel very much cared for, and was willing to help and answer any questions when it was needed. Thank you to Dr Bautista and her staff for making sure the birth of my son was an easy one without complications, and a few nurses that stood out me and was Yves(Eve), Monique, and there was another night nurse but I can not remember her name. But all and all, the experience with everyone was a pleasure, and I will be recommending this hospital. THANK YOU!

I traveled 4 hours for a scheduled surgery. While I was a patient, I received excellent care in a facility that was immaculately clean and well staffed. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. I felt assured knowing I was receiving care in a state of the art facility that was also a teaching hospital. Thank you to all who were a part of my surgical experience!!

I had Knee Replacement Surgery (Orlando Orthopedic) by Dr. Travis VanDyke 😇 and was fortunate enough to stay over before release. The Surgery staff at UCF Lake Nona were wonderful - everything was clean and I enjoyed the experience. (You have to understand the Knee Replacement excitement.) A dedicated and caring Nursing staff, Physical and Respiratory Therapy team was impressive. Chase explained the different methods and benefits of the equipment used. Overall a good place to be when you or a loved one needs cared for. Good Healthy Vibes
