UC San Diego Medical Center Discharge Pharmacy

What a bad experience today, I was told by my doctor, pharmacy has processed the Rx , it should be smooth but NO. A Staff there Need to improve customer service more and please be more pleasant and helpful!! I went there and right away saying it’s not ready for refill , yeah but there’s new Rx for a few pills needed for my immunosuppressant drugs which by the way VIP for a 3 wk kidney transplant pt. I don’t know exactly how many?? It’s in the Rx. Please be kind . I work at a medical office too and YES it’s VIP to be helpful to patients that need a little assistance!!!!

Love the staff and my doctor. The facility at UCSD has many features and a string of buildings such as testing,hospitals, and college campus, public/student library & cafeteria. Each UCSD branch has a umbrella cart shop on outside where there is seating. No smoking Policy, fee for parking ATM inside most locations or scan bar code sign to pay for parking. If your visit is under 1 hour your not charged; depending. Moore's Cancer Center offers free support groups and the college always has events you can go online and read student posts and comments past & upcoming activities. Last November they offer a free turkey. Go visit UCSD today!

One could reasonably expect to encounter entitled people slowly providing service with a snark at a place like this where YOU need THEM more than the other way round. I was pleasantly surprised with the employees at UCSD Discharge Pharmacy. Quick, hassle-free, friendly. They even let me park in the circle drive out front and I was in and out in less than ten minutes. Unbelievable.

I recently had a tonsillectomy at UCSD Hillcrest and received my prescriptions at the hospital while in Post Op. My doctor prescribed a 10-day supply of pain medication, including extra strength Tylenol and Oxycodone (Roxicodone). However, the pharmacist informed me that neither my primary nor secondary insurance would cover a 10-day supply of Roxicodone, which seems unusual given that I previously received a morphine prescription for previous tonsil abscesses without issue. These medications were for a surgery with general anesthesia. Despite my concerns, I accepted a 7-day supply of Roxicodone and paid for it, wanting to get home after a long day at the hospital. When I counted the pills before going to sleep, I found that I only received a 6-day supply. I wanted to call the pharmacy a
