Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital

If i can give a negative 0 star i would. On Friday July 14, 2023, my kids and I was passing through from a vacation and i became short of breath, I was diagnosed with bronchitis a week earlier but i started to get out of breath and this hospital was the closest. When i arrived i was the only patient. I was told they didn’t accept my insurance but they would see me. They placed me in the back, and never came to provide me treatment. My breathing became worst so I went in the hallway to get the nurse attention who kept going back and forth i begged her to give me a breathing treatment and she kept saying i have to ask the doctor. A paramedic was standing in the hallway and he seen me in distress and he had the look like he wanted to help but he couldn’t. The nurse told me I need to go back i

Waited like 4-5 hrs just for check up results.

There have been great improvements made at Tyler Holmes. With the waiting room as well as the admission office. Let’s now maybe focus on the comfort of the patients. The heating systems in the patient’s room needs a major overhaul. Even when turning the system on it pushed out nothing but cold air into an already freezing cold room.

The wait time was pretty good considering the amount of tests I had done. It gets a three star because the doctor I got was HORRIBLY rude. I saw this doctor maybe twice the enter three and a half hours I was there. Was very brusque with no bedside manner. Made me feel like an idiot coming to the er for chest tightness/shortness of breath that had lasted five hours.

I had to have extensive lab tests done which by the end made me very sick. These people were awesome! They checked on me, watched me, and got me anything I needed. They wouldn't let me leave without assurance that somebody else was driving as I was too sick and weak to drive and that they were taking me straight to eat and drink to get my strength back. I didn't give the 5th star because I had to make a couple trips down there to get it all set up (however, this was partially the fault of the neurologist office that sent as well).
