Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation

In September, my elderly mother was moved from The Plaza Assisted Living to Twin Rivers. She had come to the point where she required a great deal of daily care. We knew she didn't have much time left, and she passed three months later. During that time I was very impressed with the entire staff at Twin Rivers. The situation was complicated by my living half way across the country, but the staff took great care to keep me informed of my mother's situation, with excellent communications several times each week. They even helped Mom use her phone so she and I could talk. They made what was a difficult time as easy and stress-free as possible. When I walked into the facility I was pleasantly surprised at how well it smelled. It was extremely clean and the residents seemed to be very happy. I was able to see a few interactions with staff and residents and you can tell they genuinely care about them. I was greeted by every staff member that saw me and made to feel welcome there.

DO NOT GO HERE AND EAT!!! DO NOT LET ANYONE YOU LOVE IN THIS PLACE EAT ANY OF THE FOOD!!! They have terrible food safety measures. Like leaving raw chicken breasts in a sink to thaw without any packaging for over 24 hours. The managers and other staff does not care about this either. Let just let it go. It took my significant other to call the administrator to let them know about the OSHA food safety violations because it wasn't being fixed by the managers or anything. If you stay here and eat you might get sick cause the staff REFUSES to follow safety protocol even when a worker speaks up about it. DO NOT EAT ANY FOOD FROM THIS PLACE!!! It's basically a breeding ground for a mass food poisoning incident.

Threatened our family when trying to get medical intervention for my grandmother. There is no dietary alternatives either for people with restriction.

Just went to visit Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely facility and nice employees. Smelled nice
