TrustCare Kids Gluckstadt

I had my kid there at Gluckstadt Clinic for urinary problems. She could not give a specimen. I was sent home with a urine kit. The provider did not touch her. I took the specimen back she said it was negative but she would send for culture. She contacted with GI doctor alleged not to treat. I had to take her to another facility for treatment. When did medicine turn to not touching to examine the symptoms?

I wouldn’t recommend this establishment unless it’s absolutely your only option, and even then, the ER might be a better choice given the level of service and the cost. While the nurse practitioner was kind, the nurse was somewhat rude and not very kid-friendly. On top of that, the facility charges extremely high prices and adds on extra fees that feel like they’re just trying to nickel and dime you. As others have mentioned, they also automatically charge your card on file for these additional costs after insurance has been processed. While I understand the reasoning behind this practice in certain situations, there needs to be much better communication between the billing department and patients. Review is not really for the individuals that work here but more so on the company policies. We have had a few instances lately that we were disappointed in how things were handled. Now they are requiring a card to be stored on their system before they will see you and I just don’t trust their systems to keep that information safe. Also, it’s not my issue that your other patients do not pay their bill. Go up the road to MS Express Health behind Sullivan’s Grocery. They took us right in, no appointment, no hassle, were super friendly, and didn’t require me to put a card on file. 4/7/2025 update: I reached out to TrustCare Kids as they requested in their response to this review. The np's we have seen are fabulous. But their new billing policy is unacceptable. I took my son 2 weeks ago and was told they wouldn't see him if I didn't put a card on file. I told her that I had seen that they were charging people without permission and she assured me that they weren't. This week I got an email that they would charge my card for almost $400 on Sunday. No option to approve or deny the charge. She lied to me. I have spoken with billing twice and while they acted like they wanted to help me, they didn't. Even when I told them that this issue required a second visit and a surgery that we have had to pay thousands for since then. No option to delay payment. We will never go back!

Same bad experience that others posted about with the company policy, not the providers. I like the provider we had but was charged a ridiculous amount for less than 5 mins with the provider and probably being in the clinic less than 30 mins total. I was asked what I wanted my child tested for and I specifically said "whatever y'all think is appropriate" thinking critical thinking and reasoning would be applied. That was not a blanket statement to just test for everything so they could charge for it. Also was charged an "after hours fee" when their posted hours are 8a-8p on week nights. I was definitely not there past 8p which would actually be after their posted hours. I also reached out 3 times about my bill prior to posting this review with no response.
