Customer Reviews
I have been going to this particular location since moving to Santa Fe in February of 2022. The phlebotomists are always professional, courteous and friendly. None have had any difficulty accessing my veins. Kudos to all the students that choose this as their profession, and as an RN I mean that whole heartedly.
Walked into the lab only to hear one of the people behind the desk yell curse words. Didn't exactly make me feel welcome. No health insurance so I asked the cash pric . I was told I would get a 50% discount for no insurance and the total would be $100. Not bad, until I got a bill in the mail showing that I owe another $300. Sure will be nice to spend hours on the phone trying to figure this one out.
This Lab. was unable to find faxed referrals or understand test fasting instructions. I was briefed on instructions by phone and when I went for the test they would not draw the blood because they said it was necessary to do something besides what I was briefed earlier on the phone. I called main patient services at the main businees number and was told that both instructions were valid and the draw should not have been rejected. It seems that the person that briefed me on the phone read me the wrong fasting instructions The patient services department was very helpful in helping me resolve my problem. Doctor had to send referral 3 times before it was found. I waited 6 weeks from start for them to find it. This has happened two other times in the past 3 years.
I had to have blood drawn today and had a very positive experience. The tech, Paul Moreno is an amazing pheubotomist. Not only was the stick painless, it left no mark. I highly recommend him for all your blood drawn needs.
The staff at the St. Michael's location were curt bordering on rude. The boy up front asked for my id and insurance, which was fine, but then he ignored my request to find a bathroom. I asked no less than 4 times and he still didn't acknowledge my question. I had to knock repeatedly on the plexiglass partition to get him to even look at me and he STILL didn't answer the question until I became even more assertive. I know I shouldn't be upset over what a punk kid does, but I have a medical condition that creates stool issues and I didn't want to defecate myself while he ignored me. I'd have fired him on the spot if I was in charge. Then I asked the phlebotomist if she could spell phlebotomist and she couldn't. These people are living proof that half of everyone you meet in life are b
