Tri-City Cardiology

I had an angiogram on 12/10/2025. My cardiologist referred me to a surgeon to put in 3 stents. The widow maker is 80% blocked, the other two are 50% blocked. The referring Dr. did not get a hold of me to schedule my procedure. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called my Dr’s assistant and told her my circumstances. She said she would put in the referral again. I waited a week for a call. Nothing! I made an appt to see my Dr’s assistant to tell her face to face that no clinic has gotten a hold of me. I told her I wanted a different Dr since I had no call back. After 3 weeks of waiting, I ended up in the ER with chest pressure. Dr. Berkowitz and Dr Jenny have been my life savers, literally. From vien care to my broken heart. They listen, they state options - truthful solutions. Some you might not want to hear. They are caring and talented. Straight forward - after all, your heart needs care not sugar coating, I appreciate the professionalism of experienced talented Doctors. Very friendly staff. This was my first visit to TriCity Cardiology and I felt like I had been a patient there for a while. Samantha, who did my vitals, was friendly, funny, and very helpful in setting up my mail order prescriptions. Dr. Bies was everything his write up said he was. Friendly, informative, personable, and interested in my continued good health. I am very happy having found Dr. Bies and TriCity Cardiology.

This was my first appointment, and they told me to arrive 20 minutes early. I showed up, and they informed me there was an hour wait. I asked if I could leave and come back, but they said no—once you’re checked in, if you leave, the appointment is canceled. I also asked why they didn’t call or text to let patients know the doctor was running behind, and they said they don’t do that. It would be so simple to set up a text message system to keep us updated on delays. If we don’t show up on time, the appointment gets canceled and we get charged for a no-show, so it really should go both ways.
