Transitions Healthcare Allens Cove

Attended the Perry County Chamber of Commerce Businesswomens' Luncheon on September 5, 2024. Had a tour of the facility and the recent upgrade of available services, including the different levels of therapy. Explanation of the different levels of care, the pricing structure (when insurance pays and when it is self pay), and the staffing of the facility. Both short-term and long-term care is available. The Independant Living quarters tour allows pets and those who still drive. This wing stems off of the historic building side of the complex with renovations that kept many aspects of the charm of the original building. All meals are included, and there is an Activity Director. The Independant Living Residents are the first priority if they need to be upgraded to more advanced care. Indepe

TRASH if I could give zero I would I have a client in here last year and they let my girl sit there and because non mobile they never did her PT they don’t interact with yall family members they just o it them in a a room and turn on lassie . And play bingo I got screamed at by a higher up for being on my phone because I thought I was one of his employees. Don’t send your loved ones here .! The inside of the place is drab and depressing and smells like poop and pee they don’t bath my client stunk I was unable to bath her . Just terrible!

My Mother has experienced excellent personalized care in their Personal Care wing. Her room is the most spacious of the several facilities i visited before selecting Kinkora. The storage is ample, she was able to take her own furniture, and the bathroom is well planned. Views of the Susquehanna from the mansion's wrap around porch are beautiful in all seasons. There are several gathering areas available when she has multiple guests. She is closing in on her 100th birthday enjoying the relaxed family like environment. We couldn't be more pleased.

My father was at the home for a few months at the end of his life. It is like many places, understaffed but the staff that shows up works very hard. A little dated, but well maintained. The food wasn't gourmet, but I know they took special interest in making sure my dad had the food he liked. I think they worked very hard to make his last days comfortable and I am appreciative of their efforts. They have good people.

Horrible place!!!! Dirty and smells of urine!!! Short staffed!!! And the PT is a JOKE!!! My mom was there after hip surgery and literally quit eating and drinking bcuz she was afraid no one would take her to the bathroom in time and she would have an accident!!! She sat there 22 minutes waiting for someone to answer her bell and take her!!! She’s 85 yrs old and deaf so there were a lot of issues with the employees DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
