Town Center Urgent Care

My brother took my sister in law in today. She had two teeth pulled 10 days ago and now it is infected, her antibiotics she had were not working and her abscess busted. She can't get back in to the dentist until Monday. The co pay was more than they were told it was, my brother was $4 short, they refused to bill him the $4 and refused to see her without the $4. A very kind lady inline behind them gave them the $4 so she could be seen.

This place has became useless, they pick and choose what they will bill your insurance for????They have a sign at the reception area that states if you’re here for dental issues including abscesses that you must pay 65.00 as insurance will not be billed. Okay, I understand you’re not going to give pain medication for a toothache… I get that but dental abscesses are not just “dental” any longer. Most dentists insist that antibiotics are taken before doing any extractions when an abscess is involved, but the local so called urgent care wants 65.00 when you have insurance. This area and this economy 65.00 is hard to come by at times. This is despicable…and senseless.

I saw the staff there today and was very pleased. The receptionist, nursing staff and nurse practitioners were very knowledgeable and treated me with respect. I have Covid and I had developed a sinus infection and a respiratory infection. They gave me the necessary medication to help me overcome this horrible virus. I am thankful we have this facility in our little town.

This is not the first time this has happened to me here. On Sunday they are open until 6 and I got here at 5 and they registered and seen the woman in front of me and then told me they didn’t have room for anymore today. I understand that happening once in awhile but one time I didn’t even make it through the doors and they locked it an hour early. This town is bad enough when your sick hoping to find someone that will see you or can figure out what’s wrong but this is just ridiculous. I don’t have a ride so I had to pay someone 10 in gas just to get up here 3 hours later to have them close the door in my face.

Went this morning 1st to register and 45 minutes later they called 3 people that had registered after me and the nurse practioner only spent 2 to 3 minutes with me and never gave me a diagnosis after covid test was negative, I have never had this happen before when I went there previously and I don't think I will go back. You should take longer with the patients and at least hear their symptoms.
