Total Gastroenterology

Reading the other reviews and seeing all the comments about waiting over an hour to be seen shows me these other patients have no clue how specialist offices work. People need to understand that not everyone there for an appointment is getting good news. There are some patients who will require more of the doctor’s time than others. April is amazing and very attentive when it comes to her patients. If you don’t care to wait an hour or more to be seen then find another place to go and I can assure you you’ll not get the amazing care you would here.

I’m writing this review because people are so quick to post bad ones over the smallest things—but this office truly deserves ten stars! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm “Good morning, sir.” When I was brought back for my appointment, I was asked how my day was going, and when the provider and her assistant came in, they greeted me again with genuine kindness. The provider took time to discuss my treatment plan thoroughly, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood everything—never once making me feel like a bother. The scheduling lady was nice after my initial consultation. But the fact they don't tell you that you're insurance doesent cover anything until 3 days before your procedure that you scheduled a month ago is wrong. Why take my insurance information and not tell me what things are going to cost up front. My dentist, doctor, and therapy all lets me know the day I schedule what I'm going to be paying. But apparently they just like to keep you guessing. Now I have to find another gastroenterologist that will do the procedure and who knows how long that will take.

April is extremely nice but you wait at minimum an hour for your appointment everytime. They have 0 respect for their Patients time. They are never on time by over an hour...always. Otherwise they would get a 4 plus. The new Office staff (not the Drs) are just ok. The old staff where all very very nice.

Book my appointment and arrived 15 minutes before appointment every time. Put in room for 40 to 45 minutes with no one checking to see if I needed water or just use the restroom. I walked out and asked for my copay only to be told. I would have to wait until the person that writes the check comes in. Not good business practice. I notified Millennium how I was treated.
