Dr. Ekpo and the entire Michigan Joint Replacement Institute team were exceptional from start to finish. From my first consultation, Dr. Ekpo took the time to explain every detail of my condition and treatment options in a way that was clear and reassuring. He genuinely listens, never rushes, and makes you feel completely confident in your care plan.

I’m now several months out from surgery, walking without pain, and fully back to my daily routine. For anyone considering joint replacement — especially if you’ve had prior procedures — I highly recommend Dr. Ekpo and the MJRI team. Their expertise and attention to detail are exceptional.

I underwent a total knee replacement with Dr. Ekpo at the Michigan Joint Replacement Institute, and I can confidently say the level of care I received was outstanding. I had previous orthopedic procedures with other providers, so I came into this surgery with very high expectations — and Dr. Ekpo exceeded all of them.

If I could leave Dr. Ekpo a 0 star review I most definitely would. Very dismissive, rude, has no idea what he is doing and teaches others under his guidance the same EXACT practices. 0/10 would NOT recommend. Dr. Carpenter in Chelsea would be my recommendation.

What impressed me most was the consistency and coordination across the entire team — surgical staff, nursing, anesthesia, and physical therapy. Everyone communicated clearly, monitored my progress closely, and made sure every concern was addressed promptly.
