Timashev Family Music Building

Practice spaces for ALL OSU students (for music majors first by reservation). You don't have to be a noisy neighbor anymore! Some pianos have sticky keys or aren't necessarily in tune. Free concerts/recitals are always lots of fun. Also, lots of good study spaces if you want random background music from time to time.

I briefly visited the recently-constructed Timashev Family Music Building [at 1900 College Rd. on The Ohio State University campus] yesterday [2-13-2023] for my first time. While I had been an OSU student during the early 1970s, the OSU School of Music had been located entirely within Hughes Hall. I had taken several music classes [Music Theory and Sight-Singing] while in that building. Weigel Hall had been built in 1979; much of the OSU School of Music moved to Weigel Hall at that time while a portion of that school remained in Hughes Hall. Over the years, I have attended many concerts and other events in Weigel Hall so I had become quite become familiar with that building. The Timashev Family Music Building has now been built and completely blocks the view of Weigel Hall from College

It is a building. The doors work. You can even go inside.
