Thrive Pain Management

I've been a patient with Thrive Pain Management and Dr. Dunson for more than 5 years. He is the most punctual doctor, I have never had to wait to be seen. He's kind, patient and understanding. He's a brilliant, and knowledgeable doctor who keeps current on all the newest treatments. But most of all he listens to his patients and takes the time to come up with a treatment plan that truly works for the individual. For those of us suffering with chronic pain, specialists like Dr. Dunson are a rare find. If you have the opportunity to be seen by him you will be glad you took the time to book the appointment.

The receptionist is never in the office, and she cannot type proper English and will only do things by phone. Nothing goes in writing. She lied about my appointment time and day and gave me a different day and is demanding 100 for me not showing. I told her I wanted to speak to Dr. Dunson, but he would not call me, she called me back and stated he wouldn't see me unless I paid it. I've never missed an appointment with Dr. Dunson but for the fact that his only "MA"/receptionist who works remote or is in a different county gave me a different date which I showed up for and the office ended up being closed. I've been going to this doctor for over a year. Dr. Dunson is honest and caring. He tries to get to the ROOT of your problem and doesn't sugar coat the matter. He doesn't tell you stuff to make you feel good. He tells you stuff that will help the problem. He's very understanding and always wants to know how you're doing. I've also developed breast cancer since I've been seeing Dr Dunson and he's doing remarkably treating my Chemo pain. I wouldn't want any other pain management doctor. Thanks Doc.

I have been with Thrive Pain Management for 3 years and I am very pleased with the service and treatment at Thrive Pain Management. Dr. Dunson is very knowledgeable, caring and attentive with his patients. Office is clean and wait time to be seen is short because Dr. Dunson always seems to stay on schedule. If I was able to do zero stars I would. I did the message online in which I said I’m only searching for a new pain management doctor because the staff at my other doctor of 3 years wasn’t doing my prior authorizations ,calling in meds on time ect. Then I said exactly what medication I am on and that I have had 30 surgeries total to date 6 on neck the last one being a very extensive bone graft to upper and lower jaws due to them being paper thin. That the bone came from both of my hips and butt bone. I’m barely off a walker and the last surgery on my mouth was in January and the stitches have just fell out well when I wrote this to him I may have still had the stitches.
