The Woodleigh of Baton Rouge

On December 2, we had a very special guest—Santa Claus himself! Reed Duncan, Director of Marketing at Woodleigh graciously stepped into the role, and what an amazing and awesome person he is. With the patience of Job, Reed brought smiles to every face as our members lined up to take pictures with Santa. He even went out to the end of the driveway to wave at passing cars, spreading holiday cheer beyond our walls. The joy was contagious—our members will cherish these memories, and many have already shared their photos with their children. For a moment, we were all like kids again, waiting for Santa on Christmas morning. Thanks again Reed and Merry Christmas to you and the Staff at Woodleigh.

My dad was at the Woodleigh recently for rehabilitation for about a month. The staff were friendly and professional, and the facility was very clean. The nurses, therapists, and staff took great care of him. I would highly recommend the Woodleigh of BR.

I want to tell about my experience of the Woodleigh. The first impression that I had was with a nurse who came to the hospital and explained to what to expect about the facility. I explained to him that I had opened heart surgery. Because of my particular situation he sent an ambulance to pick me up for safety. The menu was very good with options. I had some concerns about my weekend experiences. On Monday I discussed them with my nurse Courtney. She listened to all my concerns and took care of them all .She said she would send management personally to discussed them with me. Later that day I talk to the supervisor on charge and she was attentive to my concerns. I am handicapped with one leg. I thought I would be in bed the whole time while I was there. I went to physical therapy to work

We couldn’t be more grateful for the care my dad has received at Woodleigh Nursing Home. From the moment he arrived, the staff made him feel welcome, respected, and safe. The nurses and caregivers are attentive, compassionate, and truly go above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being every day. It gives our family such peace of mind knowing that he is in such capable hands. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, home-like feel. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Woodleigh for treating our dad like family. Your kindness means the world to us.

Absolutely amazing place. The entire staff is outstanding. They have made this difficult decision a smooth process and it is comforting to know and see that your loved one is being cared for properly, with dignity and kindness. Every single staff member that I have encountered has been very helpful, kind and so willing to answer any questions with a smile. They are very efficient. PT, OT, speech therapy all in helping my loved one move forward. There are scheduled meetings regularly with family to review and evaluate Plan of Care. The food is very good and the facility is clean. All the way from management down to housekeeping have been exceptional. I know that when I or another family member are not there, that our loved one is still being cared for in the same manner as when we are there
