Brought my daughter she’s 12 because I trusted Valley before they moved, Everyone here treats us so uncaring the nurse left us in a bed by the electrical room she said sarcastically you have the bathroom right here! No even a blanket for my daughter she’s covering herself with her coat, the Dr came and I express my concerns and he told me to be quite with his finger because he was checking for back fluids or something and dismissed my concern about my daughter feeling a lump that is burning inside her throat he said it’s probably viral and that he can send to take swabs but really it will take an hour for the results if I want to wait or they will call me. After being referred from a family member had to give this place a try. Here is how a ER 2-24-26 visit went for me went in with massive gum pain was seen for Gingival abscess so after initial check in waited in lobby for 15 min was called in for gen question and check blood pressure etc . Then after waiting in lobby they called me in for a room only to be left there for about 2 hours kindly walk over to a nurse to see whats going on only to be told she was sorry and that i could leave if i wanted very nasty tone . Headed back to room 37 patiently waiting after about 2hours 15 min doctor Luis F Varela comes in nasty tone of voice like i owed him something couldn’t even ask a question I tried to say something he cut me off saying well we are not dentist stay away from this Hospital ER staff

My family recently had an extremely disappointing and frankly alarming experience in the ER with my 80‑year‑old father, who came in with chest pain and dizziness. Although his initial EKG and vitals were stable, he was left waiting in the lobby for about an hour and a half before even being taken to the back. Once he was finally in a room, things only got worse. Despite being there for hours, no doctor came to assess him. I asked the nurse twice when the doctor would be in, and each time I was told he’d be by “shortly.” Another hour passed with no communication. I had to insist that this wasn’t about us wanting a visit—it was about him needing an initial medical assessment, which still hadn’t happened after four hours. I brought my daughter here to the ER for stitches in her forehead last night. Every single staff member we encountered was outstanding...from the check in lady, to the nurses and medical staff evaluating her and the doctors. They handled us better than I could have expected and better than any other hospital I've ever been. They should be so proud of the team they have and the experience and care they gave us. I left feeling relieved, my daughter was cared for and the little pink horse they gave her lit up her face. Simply outstanding service and people at Valley Hospital!
