The Urgency Room

I was seen by Michael M Bryant, MD today 2.5.2026 Thursday at WOODBURY Urgency Room at 1:00PM. Dr Bryant was incredible. He was so kind & empathic. I felt so comforted by his thorough & careful examination today. I wish I could remember everybody’s name from today. The lady at the front desk who checked me in was exceptionally kind & accurate. My Nurse was professional & about business ! There was another lady that escorted me from my room to X Ray. She was amazing and the Rad Tech was also super sweet. I had such a positive interaction with everybody today. I’m so sorry I can’t remember all your names. Woodbury Urgency Room was so prompt. I recommend avoiding the ER at all costs. If you need to go to an urgency room, take the drive to Eagan! I would NEVER recommend going here, especially with your children! The staff are impatient, act as though you’re an inconvenience, and have the personalities of people you’d expect working at the morgue with a sprinkle of “I’m better than you” aura. This is not a one time experience as I have given benefit of doubt a few times thinking maybe it was just a stressful day or giving the grace of everyone is human and makes mistakes from time to time. We went because my daughter had a high fever. Unfortunately, we didn’t have insurance at the time and had to pay $350 up front which was fine. The nurse suggested a strep test and it came back positive for strep. The doctor popped in and we got antibiotics and were sent on our way in about 30 minutes. Then we got a bill for another $481… a total of $831 for an office visit and step test. I paid another payment of $255 and we called to see if we could come up with a compromise on the bill since we didn’t have insurance. They said they would forward our request to billing and we would get a call back. Nobody called us and we were sent to collections. I LOVE the Urgency Room. They are patient focused. The doctor listened to all my concerns and asked the right questions but most importantly diagnosed me correctly and provided treatment. The nurses and staff are so kind. It is clean, quick, efficient. I never feel rushed, ignored or move through like cattle. I love everything about it.
