My nonverbal autistic child has been in speech therapy her entire life, but we've seen major improvements since starting with Miss Chris and the Speech School! The facility is always clean and smells amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I love the Speech School. 2 of my daughters attend here. Both of their speech issues have improved in such a short time. What I appreciate the most is the 'homework'.. After each session, the therapist comes out and has a 'mini-meeting' with me. They explain what they worked on, challenges, and ways to work through the challenge. I love that I am a part of their progress even though I'm just sitting in the lobby. And Miss Maggie is fantastic. I can ask about insurance stuff, what for dinner, and everything in-between. She doesn't make me feel like I'm bothering her. Many times, I start a random conversation to deal with my anxiety and the ladies in this clinic are..... a breath of fresh air.

As a parent, I want to see my child succeed and thrive. I was interested in this school for my daughter, who has been on a waiting list elsewhere. I've been working closely with her, and I must say that she has made significant improvements, which fills me with joy and gratitude. However, I still wanted to learn more about this school and gather some tips. The receptionist is the first point of contact for parents, and I believe in making a good impression. Initially, my conversation with Maggie was okay. I asked her about leaving my daughter at the school, as I still don’t feel completely comfortable with that decision. We are so happy that we found Miss Chris. Our son was struggling with speaking words around 18 months. His pediatrician brushed it off and told us to keep waiting. A screening by Miss Chris at his daycare confirmed that he was behind for his age and would benefit from speech therapy. Since starting therapy with Miss Chris our son is talking non-stop! She focused on our concerns and made sure our son was learning functional words that would help him get his needs met. Not only that, but she taught my husband and I strategies to help reinforce his speech development which has helped tremendously at home. Miss Chris is so patient and kind with him. We were referred to Miss Chris at The Speech School by a friend, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have found her! Although my 3-year-old had a language of her own, we weren’t seeing much progress with our at-home efforts. But after starting sessions with Miss Chris, we saw a major improvement in her speech! As a mom, I was so nervous and unsure of how to best support my little one, especially since I hadn’t encountered this with my two older girls. The Speech School has been a game-changer for us. My little one loves her twice-weekly sessions, and the environment is always calm, clean, and friendly. We can’t recommend Miss Chris and The Speech School enough—1000/10!
