The Skin Genie

I visited “Skin Genie” almost exactly a year ago after struggling with acne for five years and seeking professional help. I went into the appointment with high hopes of being in good hands and feeling comfortable. However, I burst into tears as soon as I got into my car afterward. I left the appointment with lower self-esteem and feeling immensely discouraged. The “Skin Genie’s” attitude felt judgmental and aggressive, which made the experience deeply uncomfortable. She behaved as though she had never seen acne before, despite having been in the field longer than I have been alive. She repeatedly hounded me with questions about my skin and responded to each of my answers with “Are you sure?” in a sassy, dismissive manner. I am a client for a long time , a review is long overdue and justified. It doesn’t seem fair to compare Sandi’s technique with any other facials I have gotten in all the years and places before. Her approach to skincare with medical grade products is simply the best I ever had. I like the easy scheduling, the welcoming atmosphere and appreciate the excellent service. Skin Genie - Indeed!

I was referred to Sandi by my best friend. I was so pleased with my facial and skincare regimen that she suggested (not pushed on me AT ALL), I sent my husband and mom to see her. Unfortunately, my husband and I moved out of state but my mother continues to be a client and I would highly recommend anyone in the Ventura county area to seek out her services . She is so knowledgeable and truly cares about your skin and what each individual needs. Sandy is a warm and funny person and a delight to be around. Her salon is cozy and intimate unlike some other “med spas” I’ve been to. I HIGHLY recommend Sandi for any skin care needs.

Truly cannot say enough AMAZING things about going to The Skin Genie. She really spends the time understanding your skin needs & goals. I appreciated her explaining the products she was using, what my skin needed and coming up with the best routine for it!! Cannot wait to be back again & am soooo happy with how much skin looks after my first facial with her 🤩 she really is a skin genie!!! *2/6 edited to add: I just cannot say enough great things about Sandy. She is the skin GENIE for a reason! The first photo was my face before I started seeing her, and the second is what it looks like now…completely CLEAR. All I do is use the exact products she recommends with the routine she tells me, and a few months later I’ve been able to achieve my dream skin!!

Sandi is a miracle worker! She was so kind and non-judgmental about the state of my skin. I really appreciated that. After being told by several dermatologists that I needed aggressive treatments that cost thousands of dollars and are quite painful--Sandi has me on a simple and affordable skincare regimen that is already producing results. She spent a lot of time educating me and giving me a thorough and understandable plan of action. So grateful to have found Sandi The Skin Genie!
