The Shores Post-Acute

Heartfelt thanks to the CNA’s, nurses, and therapists for making a challenging transition from home and hospital much easier. I highly recommend The Shores to anyone seeking high-quality, person-centered nursing and therapy care.

Great care and staff. My father just stayed here for 2 weeks to rehab after having leg surgery and everything went as smooth as possible. He had no complaints and staff made sure he was taken care of from the beginning. We would definitely come back if needed and would recommend this facility to anyone that need nursing services.

My mother was transferred here through a Kaiser referral. DO not use this facility if you can avoid it. They are like a warehouse. Huge with approximately 300 patients. The building is old and falling apart. They squeeze patients into small rooms old beds and poor call buttons (if they don’t fall off the the bed). There are full time maintenance people because they constantly have to fix beds, toilets, AC, and anything else that breaks down. The management and communication is poor. Service depends on the overworked caretakers who rush from one client to another. Staff can work 16 hour shifts. How conscientious can you be if you were working that much ? The one star is for poor management, poor care, bad communication, poor facilities and poor record keeping. They call it “post ca
