Our family has had an incredibly positive experience with The Sequoia in Lacey. From the very beginning, the assessment process and overall setup were smooth, efficient, and surprisingly stress-free. During a time that can feel overwhelming, their team made everything feel manageable and well-supported, specifically Molly and nurse Trisha. The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate my grandmother and our family, answering questions promptly, explaining each step clearly, and showing genuine compassion throughout the process. It’s clear they truly care—not just about logistics, but about the comfort, dignity, and well-being of their residents. Knowing that my grandmother is in a place where she is supported, respected, and welcomed brings our family real peace of mind. We are extrem

In general, I would say The Sequoia has been an excellent new home for my parents as they transition for the first time away from living independently in their own home. But it is not the building (although it is very nice), the rooms (that are also very comfortable), the other residents (that have been very welcoming to my parents) or the food (which is very good) that has made such a difference in helping my parents adjust to this new phase in their lives. The real difference maker has been the staff. They are professional, helpful, and kind. In our experience, staff has gone out of their way to make adjustments where they can to make my parents lived experience easier and more comfortable. Carolyn, Molly, Carrie, Deanna, Eva and so many others have made a real effort to help my parents

The Sequoia has been a great place, and the staff really make it feel that way. Everyone is kind, patient, and truly cares about the residents. The food team deserves a huge shout-out, the meals are genuinely impressive. Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully made, not like the bland or repetitive food you sometimes find in care communities. The portions are just right, the ingredients seem high-quality, and there’s always a nice mix of comforting favorites and healthier options. The kitchen staff check in to make sure the food hits the mark and are always willing to make adjustments if someone wants something different. Overall, they not only provide solid daily care but also serves meals that actually feel enjoyable and comforting, making the place feel even more like h

My mother in law has been here since January. Couldn’t ask for a better place. The staff are all nice and attend to the residents needs. They care about the residents and their families. They recognize me and know me even though I’m not a resident. It’s just a happy clean place to he. Staff enjoy working there. The picture below was there Mother’s Day celebration. It was a fun night for all. This is the first assisted care facility that I have been to that aren’t folks seating by the entrance hoping for a visitor to come see them. Residents are happy there. My mother in law didn’t want to go into a home. She is doing better there and has made several friends. She is very happy to be there now. You won’t be disappointed for choosing the Sequoia for your relative or yourself.

Words cannot express our gratitude for the level of care our mother received at Sequoia. She looked forward to moving into a caring and vibrant community. Molly, Community Sales Director, was mom’s first impression of Sequoia and what a connection they had! Molly regularly checked in with our mother after she moved in. She is so genuine and patient with the elderly. From the moment one walks through the front doors of the lobby, you are warmly greeted EVERY TIME by Carrie & Marilee & Judy. Walk through the hallways and every staff member from med techs to housekeeping to kitchen staff, they all say hello. The décor is clean, modern, fresh and bright. It feels like home. The layout of the facility allows residents, who may have memory challenges, to easily find their way back to their roo
