The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

I recently spent time at The Savoy after my surgery. I am thrilled that my doctor chose this location for my rehab. The physical therapists got my strength back and enabled me to return home with the confidence I needed to resume my life. The care I received from the staff was excellent and I highly recommend this facility. The staff, from the people that clean to the nurses exemplifies just how caring and competent everyone was. Even the kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure i received 3 meals each day since I don't eat meat. I always received my medication on time every day enabling me to deal with the pain I felt. I am going to also write to the administrator praising everyone that helped my recovery since I believe they each deserve individual praise for their care. I can't

A special thank you to Yolderline for her outstanding attentiveness and kindness. Regarding admin processes, I'd appreciate faster responses to patient/family questions. Savoy at Fort Lauderdale provided outstanding care for my 90-year-old mother during her four-week stay following leg surgery. We traveled from Massachusetts. From the very beginning after my mom's surgery, the entire process was handled with professionalism, transparency, and genuine compassion. I would especially like to recognize Shelly, the coordinator, who patiently and skillfully handled our insurance matters. Our insurance company often gave conflicting instructions from different representatives, and Shelly worked through each issue carefully and persistently. Her dedication and calm communication with the insurance greatly reduced our stress during an already challenging time. Many thanks to the several good people including: Sandy, Sruli, Carmeatta, Pierrenide, Greg, Marie Leone, Marlene, Ivan, Michelle, Shelena, Ingrid, Judith, Chrisla, Cara & Karen. Mgmt here really needs to figure out how to not leave residents waiting an hour or more when they hit the call light to go to the bathroom etc. that is not acceptable and it's everyday all-day. Judith, Marie Leone & Chrisla always came but not some of the other cna's. Too much work not enough staff and there's usually nowhere to park. Needs serious improvement but most of the people are good.

This place is wonderful and fantastic. The night staff is dynamic, amazing and as perfect as you can be. I have never met any nurses as good as them ever. I wish all nurses were like them. I do wish the aides would be a little more patient. The savoy always tries there best, they are a very clean faculty with wonderful activities and games. The Concierge first greeted my with an amazing welcome gift, he always has a smile that makes everyone happy. He is definitely a great people person. He is absolutely dynamic. If you need help just give him call. Connie in social services is always there to listen to help. Rose and Julie in activities are winners and fantastic. Karlene in housekeeping is very good at her job and always helpful.
