The Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque

This place is horrible! The administration department is not professional and they don’t care about the patients. They blame the staff for the problems in the facility. They are always short staffed. The workers are overworked and underpaid. One tech is responsible for 30 patients. It is no wonder that my loved one was constantly covered in his own urine and feces. He only one shower in 3 weeks. My family and I had to shower him ourselves. The therapy department did not do anything except complain that my loved one wasn’t following commands and was ignored. He had 5 days of therapy in the 3 weeks he was there. We finally had enough of the negligence and took him out through the assistance of billing department. . It was a struggle and the administration fought hard to keep him in there.

🚨Warning🚨 do not take your loved ones here!!!! I repeat DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! My grandmother needed to stay for a couple of weeks at a rehab facility/nursing home because she was unable to move her right leg and messed her shoulder up after a bad fall. Presbyterian gave us this choice to send her to the rehabilitation center of albquerque. At first when she arrived there, it seemed okay. It was clean ill admit that, and the staffed at first seemed nice. Well the next day we came to find out that she asked the staff to change her sheets multiple times because they wouldn't help her to the restroom so she had to sit in her uncomfortable wheelchair for almost 6 hours until they finally changed her sheets. They can also do better then serving her chicken with potatoes and veggies

My mom was here recently after having a fall and broken ribs at home. The therapy team was great and helped my mom gain some stamina and balance back. The staff was always friendly and available to answer questions. When it was time to discharge, they made sure she had the correct medication, equipment, and a follow up appointment with her primary care provider.

If I could give this facility no stars I would. They left my mom in a wheelchair with no one checking in on her. She had to call her family to put her back into bed. They were supposed to feed her meals but they did not. She developed a bed sore from not being turned or changed enough. Everytime we went no one would check on her for hours. We always had to go looking for someone even with the call light on for hours. She has a fear of being left alone now .

The staff was very attentive and professional im admitting our dad to the facility. They took the time to answer questions we had. Clinic is clean and well maintained.
