The Orchard Post Acute Care

My mom has been living here for the past 8 months while recovering from her injury, I truly cannot say ENOUGH GOOD THINGS about the experience. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel comfortable, supported, and cared for her during what was a very difficult time in her life. However, the nurses, therapists, and caregivers worked together and focused on rebuilding her strength, mobility, and confidence. Communication was also excellent throughout her stay. The staff kept our family informed and answered any questions we had, giving us peace of mind. The facility itself was clean, welcoming, and well-managed, which made a big difference in her overall comfort. They were patient, attentive, and always treated her with kindness and respect. 4 months ago I made the decision to take my mother out of this SNF after a stay of over 1yr (post Stroke). I had searched all around the Whittier area and chose this facility due to my initial tour, its lobby & grounds appeal, niceness of admissions coordinator, and variety of services. But what I actually experienced once in the facility was an abundance of medical errors and a shameful lack of staff CNA and LVN/RN knowledge. To provide just one example my Mom was having respiratory distress and her LVN arrogantly dismissed her as anxious. It took me arriving to insist on 911 and she was transferred to hospital and remained there for weeks. The nurse not once admitted her mistake. She got RSV, multiple pneumonias (room of 4 people often spreading infections), etc. They will do random "d

My dad stayed here for a few months while recuperating from COVID. The staff here is truly amazing. They were welcoming and supportive from the very first contact. My dad received great physical therapy. The food was very high quality. The facility was clean and organized and the residents were well cared for. I want to especially shout out Maricela the social worker who was awesome with all my questions and requests. She always made time for me in her very busy schedule. I also want to recognize Romeo who was always there to ask how we were doing and handle any requests for care. Honestly the whole care team was truly amazing. I would no hesitate in any way to recommend this facility to friends and family or to use them again should the need arise.

It's our families piece of heaven. We never could imagine are dad after his heart attack and kidney failure that my dad would be at peace . This has become are family. The CNA and staff are amazing so grateful . No way we could of all went on with out the Orchard.

This SNF is the cleanest facility I've been to, from the front lobby to the hall ways. All their staff members are amazing and helpful when asked questions. They try their best to present themselves and allow us to put a face to their name or position. I will also say its and advantage to have PIH right next door in case of an emergency. Overall I would recommend this facility to more friends and family and advise them that they are well taken care of, the CNAs are attentive and attend to them when needed and the nurses are present whether its at the nursing station or in the patients rooms attending to them as well. I wouldn't have chosen any other place for my loved one.
