The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

Facing an emergency situation with evacuation from Tampa from Hurricane Milton and needing a compounded medicine for my infant, The Medicine Shoppe got us taken care of quickly and with only kindness and understanding. There aren’t enough words to express how thankful I am for their care and compassion. Their sign says “Caring beyond prescriptions” and I 100% experienced that today in the midst of chaos. Thankful for these professionals.

we’ve had a prescription for pain medication called in for 5 days and have called everyday to follow up to keep being told it’s not ready or that they’d call us back asap but we continued to not hear back from them. i called today for the same lady to tell me they didn’t get all of the information they needed from my vet so they can’t fill the prescription and they’ll need to call the vet to get it. not once out of all the times we talked to them were we informed that they didn’t write down all the information they needed. the vet is closed today and all weekend. so it’ll be over a week that we have not been able to get our prescription for our cat who had a serious injury and needs that medication.

Always very efficient friendly and I never have to wait for my order

Had 'scrip filled, they were unable to give me but 6 pills to get started, that's ok since I was making an effort to patronize non 'CVS types. When returning to get remainder they said we have the pills but in slightly different form. I asked 'all else the same?' Yes was the reply.. when I paid they said they ran it thru the insurance etc and my payment was about 47 bucks. Since then I had the one refill, filled elsewhere but was charged 15.00. I called the insurance peeps and they said that yes they knew about the first scrip but the pharmacy used a 'higher tier' product! The pharmacy neglected to tell me that so now I'm out 30 plus bucks. It's just unsatisfactory. I'll continue to shop 'the little guys,' owned by neighbors but with problems like this I don't know.

UPDATE: They went out their way to rectify what appeared to be a matter of poor communication. I am pleased with their service and because of their followup, would recommend them. Thank you!
