The Medical Resort at Pearland

I toured this facility on a Saturday without a scheduled appointment & they were kind enough to allow me to eat an entire tray of lunch so I could sample the food! I wanted a safe, clean place for my mother to receive hospice services when she only had days left to live. The food was tasty & smart portion sizes. I felt like my mom was treated like a Queen during her stay. I am confused by all the negative comments, but can only ask you to PLEASE NOTE the date on these negative comments. It seems that this property had some bad apples a while back. I will say from my RECENT experience in May 2022 that I recommend this facility & I am glad that I selected this property for my mother's short stay. I have to say that the care my mother-in-law has received since being here at the Med Resort has been great. Jalisa, her day nurse, has shown exceptional compassion and commitment to the residents and to the families. This is a beautiful facility with wonderful caregivers. They have been under new management and will soon have a new name - Thrive! Please give Cynthia and Brandi and Kathleen and Jalisa and Rosemary, as well as the excellent PT and OT staff an opportunity to care for your loved ones. This has got to be the worst place to put your loved one! Let's put it this way a lawsuit is in order because they failed to call 911 while my mother was gasping for air I was on the phone I HAD TO CALL 911 MYSELF! Also not to mention they somehow managed to get the picline infected and almost killed her twice! Rude staff all the way from the top to the bottom!!! If you love your family member you will not put them here. And these cute pictures of food is not how they serve the food they would serve my mother food uncovered and with no love! Never once showered her and she was there almost 2 weeks!!!

My mother was sent to the hospital after me have to show up and requested she be discharged because she tested negative twice already which I had to wait a month for two results. Now she is going to ICU because she was serious dehydrated , got a UTI (which can make a person very weak fast), and now test positive for Covid again because stayed in a facility with infected patients the hole time waiting there. I may lose her before month is over in August 27 2020. Almost half of the staff I talk to started in May or July 2020. My mother has Dementia and needed better attention she wasn’t even in the late stages of it. After experiencing the unfortunate events these past few weeks, I CLEARLY understand how/why this facility IS and has gone through so many changes!!! My aunt was sent to this facility due to a questionable positive COVID testing! At 91 yrs old, she NEVER showed ANY symptoms of the virus!!! Myself and other family reached out to this facility during her stay and continued to get conflicting reports! They NEVER answer the phn, pick up then immediately hang up, NEVER return your calls, has deplorable customer service skills, yet are in the business to help the elderly!!!
