The Meadows of Marion

My stepmother loved being at The Meadows. The last months of her life she felt extremely well taken care of. My experience with staff was exceptional. They were quick to suggest meetings with any staff on her care. During those meetings, we had listening ears and I greatly appreciated that. I checked in at the nurses desk each of my visits and were quickly given a rundown of her health and anything I may want to discuss with her in more detail. When she passed, the staff was so helpful in our needs.

Our family shared a fabulous experience at The Meadows of Marion. Our father spent several weeks there for rehabilitation due to a fall post stroke. The whole team, from the administrator to janitorial staff, was very attentive to our and Dad’s needs. The therapy that he received was top notch and helped him build lasting strength. Our Dad shared laughs and built friendships with the staff, making him feel loved and well taken care of. Upon his release, the “Clap Out” really lifted his spirits and touched his heart. We wholeheartedly recommend The Meadows of Marion to anyone looking for quality care that focuses on the whole person, not just their physical ailment.

The Meadows of Marion was a great choice for my mother when she had surgery and is now confined to a wheelchair. The rooms are spacious and welcoming compared to other facilities and the staff is very nice and keeps me informed of any medical needs or daily issues. She loves the activities, such as music and bingo, and attends the wonderful church services.

Meadows of Marion is truly an exceptional facility with modern technology, equipment, and oversight principles – important features so that our loved ones get the best care possible. Added to that is the best director in the business, Bradley Heller, who prioritizes patient and resident care through skilled and caring staff members, frequent community events, and a genuine love of people. I highly recommend this facility to folks looking for the best level of care and a sense of home and fun.

My mom went to the meadows for rehabilitation after a fall. Prior to her fall she was independent and able to walk. She was there to get her strength and the goal was to go home after 2-3 weeks. We arrived on a Thursday but therapy never saw her until Monday. They said they didn't see her on Friday because she "was sleeping": Remember she is only there for rehab/therapy. The staff were nice but not helpful. They constantly yelled at my mom to stay in a wheelchair and wouldn't allow her to walk unless with therapy which was only once a day if they had staff to walk her. (Remember she is suppose to be getting her stamina back). We were there almost 2 weeks and the staff only gave her ONE shower. (How would that make you feel? This is unacceptable!!!).
