I had the worst massage of my life here. After a 36-hour shift, I came in absolutely exhausted and hoping for a proper, relaxing massage. Unfortunately, the therapist who was older asian man I was given clearly had no real massage technique or knowledge. The entire session felt unprofessional and did nothing to help the tension I came in with. What made the experience even worse was what happened afterward. Instead of asking how I felt or if everything was okay, the therapist immediately started demanding to know whether I was paying by cash or check. He repeated the question over and over, to the point where I had to tell him that I would decide at the front desk—where payment is normally handled. Only then did he finally stop and leave the room. This was honestly the worst massage of my life. It was about an hour and a half of pure pain. I went in expecting a normal relaxing massage, a gift from my husband for our anniversary, but instead it turned into a nightmare. The woman literally stood on me and pressed her feet so hard into my back that I couldn’t hold back tears. I kept hoping it would get better but it never did. My whole body ended up covered in bruises and scratches, even my moles were scraped. It wasn’t one of those slightly painful but helpful massages, it was just painful the entire time. I left shaking and in shock. Definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had and I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Always a great massage. We return several times a year. We have tried massages all over and we keep coming back to The Massage Place. That says something.
I have been going there for years. I think it's under new management. Service is great. Not sure if I like the masseuse asking me to Zelle her before I even got my clothes back on.
Been coming here for years and noticed the service has been getting worse and worse. Bad enough to the point I'm taking time out of my day to write this review. Asked for "medium" pressure massage and got one of the most painful massages in my life. I'm convinced some of the massage therapist don't know what they are doing, such as rubbing out veins on my arms thinking they are knots. They rubbed my neck down with extreme pressure without any massage oil! Brought it to the clerks attention and immediately got defensive saying "well occasionally you're going to get marks during a massage" after showing him the marks in the picture linked with this review. I've been coming here for years and never had this happen to me. Said he would have the owner call next day knowing he wouldn't based off
